James H. Doyle

James Henry Doyle (1897–1982) was Vice Admiral for the United States Navy. During the Korean War he was Commander of an Amphibious ready group.

Biography

He was born in Jamaica, New York in 1897. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1919. He received a J.D. with distinction from George Washington University Law School in 1929. During World War II he was awarded the Legion of Merit for actions during the Solomon Islands campaign. He died in 1982.[1]
